Community Design Project
Revised Masterplan
In order to deal with some major changes the masterplan has been revised significantly. The changes include the removal of part of the site from the project and the need to reduce the budget to approximately £15,000. The current masterplan reflects this whilst still keeping the essential elements of the design and the character desired by the group.
Budget
At the moment there are two potential sources of funding, however both need to be confirmed. The first has been applied for and a decision has yet to be given. The first is a bid to Greening Greater Merseyside by Groundwork Merseyside for approximately £9,700. A second source of funding could be available via the Liverpool East Neighbourhood Area Team but this would need to be applied for and agreed by the appropriate process. This could amount to approximately £5,000. This gives an overall potential budget of £14,700
Cost Estimate
The cost estimate for this plan totals £17,586.87. This includes the cost of implementation and professional fees. It is assumed that the Library Services will implement the fitting of the lighting and CCTV security measures. The total is still above the current potential budget. If the new security fencing could be included in other budgets then the implementation of the remainder of the scheme would be £14,764.89, which is appropriate to the potential budget.
