Community Design Project
Masterplans
The masterplan sketch generated during the design day has resulted in two final masterplans. The first is a Full Masterplan that provides a complete solution in line with the work of the design day. This is a relatively expensive solution that would be the most desireable should funding be available
The second is a more basic Masterplan that would need less funding to achieve. This still adheres to the principles set out during the design process but uses materials that are less expensive but not as completely in keeping with the design concept and character. ie the use of tarmac and stone paving for large areas of surfacing rather than just natural stone.
To find out how the group chose the character and concept please follow the links in the menu on the left hand side of the Design Process page.
These plans have now been revised to a third plan shown on the Current Masterplan page.
Costs
Cost estimates have been done for both schemes. The summary of these is available here
All costs are shown excluding VAT
The Future
Funding is being sought from a number of sources by Liverpool City Council and by Groundwork Merseyside in order to implement the schemes. It is hoped that enough will be gained to implement the Full Masterplan but should that not be forthcoming then the Basic Masterplan will be implemented when funds are available.
