Community Design Project
Masterplans
The design day led to the completion of a basic layout and rough masterplan. This was interpreted by the landscape architect to create two initial designs for the site, a Full Masterplan and a Basic Masterplan. These are shown on the Initial Masterplans page along with cost estimates.
A meeting of the project partners led to a number of changes being made. These include
- Revision of the site boundary to remove hidden areas of the site from use
- inclusion of a new security measures to protect the site
- clarification of the potential budget
A revised Basic Masterplan has now been developed by the landscape architect in line with the design day aspirations and ideas but within the new parameters. This plan is included on the Revised Masterplan page.
A note of the meeting is available here
During the preparation of the contract documents for the construction phase the final design was revised again to rationalise some of the changes that had taken place during the design process and to ensure that the project was kept within budget. The final plan for construction can be found on The Completed Garden page.
